Criminals are adapting their operations to take advantage of the COVID19 pandemic and increase their profits. Europol's report on 'Pandemic Profiteering' details how criminals are exploiting the COVID19 crisis. Particular areas of opportunity that have been identified include cybercrime, fraud and counterfeit goods.
In advice to those across Europe affectied by the crisis, Europol has also developed advice in two specific areas: the targeting of medical equipment and on senior citizens.
